Playing as a player of Pac-Man introduces a completely new mode to the game. This month, mobile players have received a generous gift from the Hipster Whale. So there you have it! Now go forth and enjoy the Pac-Man update in Crossy Road! Once you’ve unlocked all four secret characters, you’ll be able to play as Pac-Man himself! To do this, just tap on his icon in the bottom left corner of the screen. Blinky, the final secret character, can be unlocked by clearing 30 levels as Inky.

The next secret character, Inky, can be unlocked by clearing 20 levels as Pinky. Pac-Man and you’ll eventually see Pinky’s icon appear in the bottom right corner of the screen. Once you’ve cleared 10 levels, you’ll be able to unlock the first secret character, Pinky. To do this, simply tap on her icon in the bottom left corner of the screen. Hipster Whale is working with Bandai Namco Studios Vancouver on the free-to-play game, which will be available for smartphones and tablets this summer. Pac-Man will face his old nemeses, Inky, Blinky, Pinky and Clyde, as well as other strains of colorful ghosts. Like mobile hit Crossy Road, Pac-Man 256 is played from an isometric perspective. The glitched out wave of death is based on the 256th level of Pac-Man, which would corrupt the game's maze due to a programming bug, making it unplayable. Pac-Man 256 is an endless maze runner in which Pac-Man eats dots, avoids ghosts and attempts to outrun a relentless threat: a wave of pixelated gibberish that threatens to overtake the screen.
